| Brooksville, the seat for Hernando County, was settled in 1845, and today serves up a cohesive, Mayberry-ish feel. Located north of Tampa, the historic town is rife with Queen Anne architecture, along with Colonial Revival and Bungalow styles. The Hernando Heritage Museum, circa 1856, is one of the six buildings in town listed on the National Register. |
