The county seat of Walton County, DeFuniak Springs emerged in the 1880s as a railroad stop. This Northwest Florida city is centered around a completely round lake, Lake DeFuniak. While you're there, visit the Walton-Defuniak Library, the oldest library in Florida still serving the public.
